WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University women's swimming team hosted Marywood University on Saturday in their last home meet of the 2025-26 season at the Field House Pool. The Bison lost 150-33 as the Pacers swept all 11 events.
GU participated in nine events with seven swimmers. The women's swim team now stands at 0-10 overall and 0-5 in Atlantic East competition.

Hope MacPeek (Russellville, Ark.) and sophomore
Melany Salcedo Benavides (Woodbridge, Va.) started off the meet for the Bison in the 1,000-yard freestyle as the duo placed third and fourth, respectively.
First year
Adelle Patton (Puyallup, Wash.) was the only Gallaudet swimmer in the 200-yard IM and took fourth with a time of 3:08.50. Later in the meet, Patton swam her way to second place in the 100-yard backstroke (1:16.89) and third place in the 50-yard freestyle (31.25).

Alecia Miller (Litchfield, Ill.) and sophomore
Eliza Peterson (Snellville, Ga.) finished in 2:47.79.
Marywood (7-2, 3-2 Atlantic East) was led by Emerson Gellert who won the 100-yard butterfly (1:07.31), 100-yard freestyle (1:02.42) and 200-yard freestyle (2:14.14) events.

- Robinson placed fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (1:29.41)
- MacPeek and Salcedo Benavides competed in the 500-yard freestyle and placed fourth (6:44.68) and fifth (9:30.81), respectively

The Bison will travel to Westminster, Md., to face McDaniel College and Goucher College in a non-conference tri-meet next Saturday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m.
