WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University women's swimming team hosted Marywood University on Saturday in their last home meet of the 2025-26 season at the Field House Pool. The Bison lost 150-33 as the Pacers swept all 11 events. 

GU participated in nine events with seven swimmers. The women's swim team now stands at 0-10 overall and 0-5 in Atlantic East competition.
 
First year Hope MacPeek (Russellville, Ark.) and sophomore Melany Salcedo Benavides (Woodbridge, Va.) started off the meet for the Bison in the 1,000-yard freestyle as the duo placed third and fourth, respectively.
 
First year Adelle Patton (Puyallup, Wash.) was the only Gallaudet swimmer in the 200-yard IM and took fourth with a time of 3:08.50. Later in the meet, Patton swam her way to second place in the 100-yard backstroke (1:16.89) and third place in the 50-yard freestyle (31.25).
 
The meet concluded with the 200-yard freestyle relay as the Gallaudet team of first year Alma Robinson (Austin, Texas), first year Mary Figueroa (Moreno Valley, Calif.), sophomore Alecia Miller (Litchfield, Ill.) and sophomore Eliza Peterson (Snellville, Ga.) finished in 2:47.79. 

Marywood (7-2, 3-2 Atlantic East) was led by Emerson Gellert who won the 100-yard butterfly (1:07.31), 100-yard freestyle (1:02.42) and 200-yard freestyle (2:14.14) events.
 
BISON TRACKS

• Robinson placed fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (1:29.41)
• MacPeek and Salcedo Benavides competed in the 500-yard freestyle and placed fourth (6:44.68) and fifth (9:30.81), respectively

The Bison will travel to Westminster, Md., to face McDaniel College and Goucher College in a non-conference tri-meet next Saturday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m.
