ABINGTON, Pa. – The Gallaudet University women's cross country team ran Saturday morning at the Abington Invitational in Lormier Park hosted by Penn State-Abington.
Cairn University junior Clarisse Hayden was the first collegiate runner to finish the 6K race in 25 minutes, 33.73 seconds to take third overall. Madeleine Hesler from the Liberty Track Club won the meet in 24:05.31.

Olivia Armstrong (Rotterdam, N.Y.) was the first Gallaudet runner to cross the finish line in 44th place with a time of 42:57.71.

Jala Furdge (Brandon, Miss.) was the other Bison in the race as she placed 62nd with a time of 44:19.76.
Lancaster Bible College won the team competition with a team score of 39 points, which is tallied by the placement of your first five runners to complete the competition. Penn State Harrisburg placed second with 61 team points. Cairn was third (90 team points), Kean University was fourth (92) and Cedar Crest College was fifth (136) to round out the top five. There were 10 schools that posted a team score, Gallaudet was not one of them as six teams had three or less runners.
