LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2025 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors and Easton/NFCA Top 10 Academic Team rankings for collegiate and high school levels.
The Gallaudet University softball program had five individuals earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors by earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher during the 2024-25 school year. The Bison student-athletes include Kinsley Bond (Beulaville, N.C.), Anya Pothorski (Columbus, Ohio), Hannah Puent (Indianapolis, Ind.), Olivia Taufu'i (Blackfoot, Idaho) and Olivia Wascher (Noblesville, Ind.). GU has now garnered 29 honors on six different occasions in the program's history. This was the second appearance for Taufu'i.
The Bison were one of six programs from the United East Conference to earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors. Lancaster Bible College and Penn State Harrisburg led the way with 12 honorees each followed by Penn St.-Brandywine (11), Penn St.-Abington (eight), Penn College (seven) and Gallaudet (five).
Lancaster Bible posted a 3.767 team grade point average to place 10th among the 133 schools in the NCAA Division III team rankings.
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. Across all collegiate divisions, 9,199 student-athletes captured All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2024-25 academic year. NCAA Division III led the way with 2,565 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2024-25. NCAA Division I followed with 2,544 and NCAA Division II with 2,179. NAIA and Junior Colleges came in with 1,010 and 895 student-athletes, respectively.
Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by NFCA member head coaches.
