SALISBURY, Md. - Gallaudet University women's cross country runners set personal record times here Saturday morning at the Salisbury University Fall Classic at WinterPlace Park.
Senior
Olivia Armstrong (Rotterdam, N.Y.) finished the 6K race in 29 minutes and 59.70 seconds to set a new personal record (PR). Armstrong was the first Bison across the finish line in 52nd place.
Sophomore
Ashley Morales-Juan (Oklahoma City, Okla.) was the next GU runner to finish in 54th place with a time of 33:36.00 to set a new PR.Â
Armstrong and Morales were Gallaudet's only runners in the meet. The Bison did not receive a team score since they did not have five runners finish the race.
Rowan University senior Gabriella Pagano won the 6K race in 21:25.10 as she finished first out of 57 runners. The U.S. Naval Academy, a Division I program, won the meet with a team score of 24 points. The Midshipmen had five runners in the top seven spot. The Profs from Rowan was second with 44 points. The host Sea Gulls checked in at third (69 points), Regent University was fourth (124) and Anne Arundel Community College was fifth (141).

Gallaudet will have a week off before competing at the Unite East Championship Preview meet hosted by Penn St.-Brandywine in Media, Pa., on Friday, Sept. 12, at 5:30 p.m..
