LATHAM, N.Y. - The Gallaudet University men's cross country team was picked eighth in the United East preseason coaches poll released on Wednesday.
Gallaudet finished ninth last year at the 2024 United East cross country championship hosted by St. Mary's College of Maryland.
Two-time defending conference champion Penn College is tied at the top spot with St. Mary's (Md.). The Wildcats garnered nine first-place votes while the Seahawks had the other four. Lancaster Bible College checks in at No. 3 while Penn St.-Berks is fourth followed by Cairn University, who rounds out the Top 5 in this year's preseason poll.Â
The 2025 United East cross country championship will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, and hosted by Penn St.-Brandywine.
The Bison will begin the 2025 campaign at the Salisbury University Fall Classic this Saturday, Aug. 30, at WinterPlace Park in Salisbury, Md., with a 9:45 a.m. start time.Â

The preseason poll rankings were conducted by the United East cross country coaches, with each coach ranking out all teams but their own using a staggered points system (12 points for a first-place vote, 11Â points for second, etc.).
