LATHAM, N.Y. - Gallaudet University had three teams earn 2024-25 Team Academic Awards as announced by the United East Conference.
This is the third year the Team Academic Awards have been bestowed to United East sponsored programs that achieved a team GPA of a 3.25 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year.
Gallaudet's three teams to earn Team Academic Awards include women's basketball (3.49 GPA), women's volleyball (3.44 GPA) and men's volleyball (3.31). This is the third selections for both women's basketball and women's volleyball and the first for men's volleyball.
This year, 117 teams from all 17 core members of the United East, as well as affiliates in track & field and men's volleyball, earned this distinction.
Lancaster Bible College led all members with 15 programs collecting Team Academic Honors, while the Chargers women's tennis team topped all teams with a 3.89 GPA.
A total of 19 of the 20 United East sponsored sports had at least one team earn the award.
