WASHINGTON – Gallaudet University Athletics will welcome Deaf and hard of hearing students and their families to campus Saturday, Sept. 26, for the 2026 DHH Rising Stars Day.
The free event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., gives K-12 students and their families an opportunity to experience Gallaudet University, enjoy a full day of Bison athletics and connect with current Gallaudet student-athletes.

The day begins at 10 a.m. in the Field House when the Gallaudet women's volleyball team faces the University of Mount Union as part of the Worthington Classic. The action moves to Hotchkiss Field at 1 p.m. when the Bison football team hosts Roanoke College before women's volleyball closes out the day against Eastern University at 4 p.m.
Rising Stars Day will also feature family-friendly activities, free snacks and refreshments, a Gallaudet swag bag and opportunities to meet current Bison student-athletes. ASL interpreters will be available throughout the event.
Participants should enter campus through the Florida Avenue entrance and park in the lot behind the Field House. Check-in will take place in the Field House lobby, with the Rising Stars activity area located on the softball field.
Advance registration is encouraged, but walk-up registration will also be available Saturday.
