WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University Athletics Department and the Motion Z dance team paid tribute to its graduating senior class during halftime of Saturday's women's basketball game in the Field House.
The graduating seniors on Motion Z include captain
Chelsea Sampson (Waldorf, Md.), co-captain
Kiristin Clark (Bowie, Md.),
Sorena Joseph (Willingboro, N.J.),
Caitlyn Smith (Indianapolis, Ind.),
Katé Scott (Baton Rouge, La.) and
Alexis Correia (Norton, Mass.).
Team captains Sampson and Clark shared remarks to the crowd before each Motion Z dancer got announced and took a photo with their senior day graphic along with their teammates.

Moe Hernandez for their dedication and help during the season. Motion Z also thanked their advisor
Stephanie Stevens, head coach of the Gallaudet women's basketball team and Senior Woman Administrator.

You've shown us all the true rhythm of life—where each step, turn, and leap brings us closer to our passion and purpose," said Stevens. "Your hard work and dedication have made this journey unforgettable, and we're so grateful for everything you've given to the team. Here's to the beat you've created, and to the lasting impact you've made—both on and off the floor. Thank you for sharing your talent and spirit with us."
Motion Z performed its dance routine during halftime of the men's basketball game. The group also danced during the minute long timeouts in the men's and women's basketball games.
