ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Gallaudet participated in day three of the 2025 Atlantic East Conference swimming championships here Saturday at The Aquatics Center at the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center on the campus of St. Mary's College of Maryland.
The competition began this morning with preliminary events in which GU swam for qualification in the finals that evening. A placement of 16th and above qualifies a swimmer for the final competition.
Leading the day in the 400-yard IM for Gallaudet was first year
Sean Berry (St. Augustine, Fla.), who placed eighth with a time of six minutes and 45.66 seconds.
In the 200-yard freestyle, first years
Allen Davis (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) and
Eric Sarnouski (Rahway, N.J.) achieved times of 2:53.59 and 4:42.46 to land themselves in 11th and 12th place, respectively.Â
GU's hard work for day three ended with the 100-yard breaststroke. Together, first years
Alex Wilding (Santa Fe, N.M.) and
Driss Oukake (Amsterdam, Netherlands) swam the event. Wilding finished in 11th place (1:22.05), while Oukake came in right behind him in 12th (1:26.03) to close the night out. First year
Matteo Giansanti's (Rome, Italy) preliminary time of 2:17.73 also qualified him in the 100-yard breaststroke, though he did not swim in the finals.
Gallaudet remains in fifth place out of five teams with 148 total points.
Marymount (Va.) University remains secure in first place with 604 points, as does St. Mary's College of Maryland in second with 553 points. Marywood University is way back in third (212) followed by Immaculata University in fourth (183) and Gallaudet in fifth (148).
