ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The first day of the four-day long 2025 Atlantic East Conference swimming championships began Thursday night at The Aquatics Center at the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center on the campus of St. Mary's College of Maryland.
The championship was set into motion by the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay, both of which the Gallaudet University men's swim team tackled for night one.

Allen Davis (Port St. Lucie, Fla.), first year
Sean Berry (St. Augustine, Fla.), junior
Abdullah Alghamdi (Dammam, Saudi Arabia), and first year
Driss Oukake (Amsterdam, Netherlands) swam the 800-yard freestyle relay in 11 minutes and 25.08 seconds, to finish fifth overall.
In the 200-yard medley relay, the Bison team was disqualified with no score.
After the two events, GU accumulated 28 points to hold fifth place out of five teams.
Marymount (Va.) University holds first place with 80 points, followed by St. Mary's College of Maryland in second with 68 points and Marywood University in third with 64 points. Immaculata University (30) and Gallaudet (28) are in fourth and fifth places, respectively, just two points apart after night one of the competition.Â

Gallaudet returns to The Aquatics Center at the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 14) for Day 2 of the 2025Â Atlantic East Conference championships. Preliminaries will start at 10 a.m. and the finals will be held at 6 p.m.
