LANCASTER, Pa. – The Gallaudet University men's soccer team faced a tough opponent in Lancaster Bible College here Saturday afternoon and lost the United East game, 12-0.
Gallaudet (1-9, 1-3 United East) fell behind early as Lancaster Bible College (6-4-3, 3-1-1 United East) scored four quick goals in the first 11 minutes as the Chargers never looked back. The Bison remained on the defensive side of the field throughout the match, as LBC tailed 33 shots while GU recorded five.
First-year forward
Xavier De Leon (Methuen, Mass.) had two scoring opportunities within nine seconds of each other in the 25th minute off a corner kick. Lancaster Bible goalkeeper Micah Dressler stopped both attempts from De Leon.
First-year goalie
John McCabe (Norwalk, Conn.) made five saves in the loss.
Andrew Cox, AJ Mecke and Dan Marcroft each scored three goals to lead the Chargers.

GU will have several days to regroup before returning home to take on Keystone College (2-10, 0-4 United East) this Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 4 p.m. in a conference game.
