WASHINGTON – The College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) recently announced its Scholar All-American Teams and Individuals who competed during the Fall 2024 season.
Gallaudet University was one of 33 teams, from all divisions (I, II, III), to earn CTCA Scholar All-American Team honors as the 10-member squad posted a team grade point average of 3.68. Triathlon teams needed to have a GPA of 3.2 or higher to earn this recognition.
The CTCA Scholar All-American Individuals had to finish the fall semester with a 3.5 GPA or higher and finish in the Top 21 spots of their division at the 2024 National Championships in Clermont, Fla., held back on Nov. 8-9. Division III had 14 triathletes earn CTCA Scholar All-American honors.
The CTCA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention held a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the fall semester but finished outside the Top 21 in their division at the 2024 National Championships. Division III had 25 triathletes earn honorable mention honors.
Gallaudet had three triathletes receive CTCA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention honors. The three first-year Bison are
Mara Land (Dell Rapids, S.D.),
Alecia Miller (Litchfield, Ill.) and
Kathe Wilken-Yoder (Ovideo, Fla.).
