WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University women's basketball team led from start to finish here Saturday afternoon against Bryn Athyn College. The Bison rolled to a 59-38 victory on Padden Court in the Field House to improve their United East conference record to 6-2.
Gallaudet (9-8, 6-2 United East) moves its overall record above .500 as the Bison reach the midway point of the conference regular-season schedule tied for fourth place with two other schools, which includes Bryn Athyn (13-4, 6-2 United East). GU extends its winning streak to six games with the victory.
The Bison defense pestered the Lions during the entire game as the visitors made 21 turnovers that led to 18 points for Gallaudet. The 38 points scored is the lowest this season for the Bryn Athyn and the lowest amount since nearly a year ago when the Lions lost, 51-35, to Notre Dame of Maryland University on Jan. 17, 2024.
GU outscored Bryn Athyn in every quarter and led 26-21 at the half in the low-scoring affair.
Senior guard
Raj Guettler (Frederick, Md.) recorded a career-high 14 rebounds to go with a game-high 14 points to pace the Bison. Guettler added a game-high four steals and passed out two assists.

Claire Ruiz-Tucker (Middletown, Md.) finished with 12 points and a game-high five assists. Sophomore guard
Cam Lexow (Abington, Pa.) was the third Bison in double figures with 10 points, four boards, a game-high two blocks, two steals and one assist.

Hannah Puent (Indianapolis, Ind.) finished with seven points, eight rebound and two steals. First-year forward
Mackenzie Schirg (Factoryville, Pa.) chipped in five points, six rebounds, one block and one steal.
Senior guard
Crystal Salit (Boyds, Md.) netted six points off the bench including a big 3-pointer in the fourth quarter as the Bison went up 15, 49-34, with 4:31 left in the game.
Bryn Athyn was led by Sierra Georges who scored 10 points off the bench in the loss.
