LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Gallaudet University men's basketball dropped a 89-73 United East conference game to Cairn University here Saturday afternoon in the Mason Activity Center.
Cairn (8-6, 5-1 United East) and Gallaudet (1-13, 1-5 United East) had a good and close battle in the first 15 minutes as Cairn got up 34-28. After that, the Highlanders had an 8-2 run to give them a 42-30 lead at the 3:52 mark. GU rallied and cut the Highlanders' lead with a 5-0 run to finish the first half down seven, 42-35.
Cairn continued where it left off in the second half as the Highlanders outscored the Bison, 47-38, as they made six 3-pointers.

Blessed Mbogo (Silver Spring, Md.) increased his season-high point total with 26 to lead the Bison. Mbogo grabbed eight rebounds and made 4-of-8 3-pointers. Senior forward

Alex Ortman (Norway, Mich.) tallied nine points, four assists and one steal.
The Highlanders had three players in double figures led by senior guard Ashton West who scored 17 points.
BISON TRACKS
- First-year guard Luke Florio (St. Augustine, Fla.) scored his first collegiate points with a perfect 3 for 3 in 3-pointers in four minutes played off the bench
- GU had nine 3-pointers which ties a season best
- The Bison had 22 bench points
