WASHINGTON - Gallaudet University will open its new disc golf course on Tuesday, April 23, at noon Eastern Time. The university community is invited to stop by for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Food and drinks will be provided, and Gallaudet University Disc Golf Club (GUDGC) and District of Columbia Deaf Disc Golf Association (DCDDGA) will set up booths by Tee Pad #1, by the ramp to the bottom level of the Field House parking garage.
The disc golf park course is located in front of the Gallaudet University welcome entrance sign and Faculty Row. It was designed by 2009 World Champion Avery Jenkins along with members of the Gallaudet community. Gallaudet's Disc Golf Park is one of three courses in Washington, D.C., and is the city's first disc golf course with permanent baskets.
