BALTIMORE - The Gallaudet University women's soccer team dropped its 2023 season opener, 9-0, here Friday afternoon to Notre Dame of Maryland University at Alumnae Field.
Gallaudet (0-1) allowed an early goal but kept the deficit to one for nearly 24 minutes before the Gators scored twice before the half where the Bison trailed 3-0. GU tallied three of its four shots in the first half as junior
Ashley Harlicker (Shenadoah, Texas) took all three shots.Â

Lilian Nelson (Minneapolis, Minn.) made a season-high 17 saves with nine stops in the second half.
Notre Dame (1-0) had five different goal scorers led by Jillian Seay's hat trick (three goals, one assist) while Mackenzie Lookingland and Adrienne Villa netted a pair of goals each.Â
Notre Dame, now a member of the United East Conference, competes in the Skye Division for women's soccer while GU is in the Volt Division. This game was considered a non-conference game for both teams.
