MIDDLETOWN, Pa.- The Gallaudet University men's basketball team dropped a 56-86 United East Conference game on the road Saturday afternoon to Penn St.-Harrisburg.
Penn St.-Harrisburg (7-1, 2-0 United East) jumped out to a 11-0 lead less than four minutes in and Junior forward
Blessed Mbogo (Silver Spring, Md.) stopped their run with a 3 pointer at the 16:01 mark. Gallaudet (0-8, 0-1 United East) was able to stay close to the Nittany Lions with a score of 25-39 at the end of first half.
Penn St.-Harrisburg continued where it left off in the second half as the Nittany Lions outscored the Bison, 47-31.
Mbogo led Gallaudet with 16 points, grabbed six rebounds and two steals. Junior forward
Enow Otto Jr. (Waldorf, Md.) and sophomore guard
Samer Sawan (Toronto, Ontario) added 11 points each. Otto Jr. grabbed two rebounds as he played only 19 minutes as he fouled out. Sawan swished three from three-point ranges.
The Nittany Lions had four players in double figures led by center Alex Leiba who scored 11 points.
