IMMACULATA, Pa. - On the road Friday night in Pennsylvania, the Gallaudet University men's swimming team competed in a dual meet against Immaculata University. The Bison came up short against the Mighty Macs, 116-39, in an Atlantic East Conference contest.
Despite the loss, the Bison (1-5, 0-2 Atlantic East) gave it their all. Sophomore
Abdullah Alghamdi (Dammam, Saudi Arabia) finished first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 3:34.09. Sophomore
Trent Mora (Austin, Texas)Â came in second in the 100-yard freestyle (1:00.69). Two more second-place finishes were captured by sophomore
John'Ta Price (Phoenix, Ariz.) in the 100-yard breaststroke (2:30.00) and first-year
William Nichols (Beavercreek, Ohio) in the 100-yard backstroke (1:10.25). Sophomore
Skyler Officer (Skokie, Ill.) set a personal record in the 200-yard freestyle with a third-place finish (2:51.40).
GU's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Nichols, Mora, Price and Officer finished second (1:55.03).Â
Immaculata (3-2, 1-1 Atlantic East) won 10 of the 11 events against the five Bison swimmers.Â

GU will host Stevenson University at home tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 18) at 11 a.m. The meet was originally slated to be hosted by Stevenson and also include FDU-Florham but that venue was no longer available and FDU-Florham backed out.
