SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Gallaudet University women's basketball team lost The National Beef Tip-Off Tournament consolation game to Cabrini University 84-40 here Sunday in the O.W. Houts Gymnasium on the Susquehanna University campus.
Gallaudet (0-2) received a boost as junior forward Cassidy Perry (Frederick, Md.) made her season debut and scored a team-high 18 points. Perry scored six baskets from the field and added six points from the free-throw line. Perry led the Bison with eight rebounds and four assists. Freshman Olivia Brown (St. Augustine, Fla.) added six points, four rebounds and two steals. Sophomore forward Anya Pothorski (Indianapolis, Ind.) added six points and five boards down low for the Bison.
Cabrini (2-2) was paced by Miranda Liebtag's 22-point performance to lead all-scorers as the guard passed out five assists and made five steals and two blocks.
The Cavaliers outscored the Bison in all four quarters and took a 37-25 lead at halftime.
