Box Score WASHINGTON - Gallaudet University had a chance to make a move up the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) men's soccer standings here Sunday afternoon as the Bison hosted an equally-matched Keuka College squad.
The two teams played even throughout in a physical and tactical match. Keuka escaped with an 1-0 victory after the Wolves stormed the Bison goal in the 53rd minute for the lone mark of the game.
Gallaudet (4-5, 3-3 NEAC) had a handful of attempts to score in the match but the Bison were turned away by Keuka goalie Ryan Mavretish on the two shots that reached the goal.
Keuka (6-5, 4-2 NEAC) kept the Bison defense on their heels as the Wolves tallied 25 shots with 13 shots on goal. GU freshman goalie Shane Angel (Mechanicsville, Md.) stopped a career-high 12 shots in the loss.
The two teams were scoreless in the first half.
