Box Score WASHINGTON - Gallaudet University's men's soccer team was deafeted here Saturday, 2-1, by North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rivals Keuka College.
With the game tied midway through the second half, Keuka College (4-2-2, 2-1-2 NEAC) midfielder Paulin Kolodja was able to find forward Leandro Curran in the center of the box, who hammered a shot past Gallaudet goalkeeper Noah Means-Simonsen (Louisville, Ky.) to push the Wolves ahead 2-1.
In the first half, freshman forward Roel Gutierrez (Austin, Texas) put the Bison (3-6-1, 2-3-1) on top with his eighth goal of the year when he fired a shot that was too strong for the Wolves goalkeeper Willie Romero (one save) to handle and trickled its way into the goal.
Keuka responded with tenacious defense and unrelenting pressure. Finally, in the 22nd minute Leandro Curran redirected a shot from Claude Tuyishimire past the Bison goaile to tie the game at one.
Although the game remained tied at the end of the first half the Wolves led the Bison 11-2 in shots.
The pressure by the Wolves didn't cease in the second half, as they fired 10 shots toward the Bison goal. The Bison were held to just one shot in the second half.
