Box Score WASHINGTON - Senior goalie Eric Setzer (Middletown, Md.) was under siege Sunday night at Hotchkiss Field as visiting Washington Adventist University shot at will on the Gallaudet University men's soccer goal but the veteran keeper kept the opposition off the scoreboard. The two squads battled to a scoreless draw after 90 minutes of regulation play.
Gallaudet (0-2-2) made a late run, late in the second half, when freshman Brian Espanto (San Antonio, Texas) got tangled with a Shock defender in the Washington Adventist goalie box and went down hard. No call was made to negate a penalty kick as the two teams played on.
Washington Adventist (2-1-1) shot at will on Setzer and the Bison goal as it recorded 34 shots in the game. The Shock had 20 shots alone in the second half. Gallaudet's defense did a good job of limiting the Shock's shots from 20-30 yards out, as many shots were high or wide. Setzer finished the game with nine saves.
The Shock had three players with two shots on goal as Emmanuel Ajayi led the team with eight shots in the tie. WAU goalie Windell Reid made three saves, two in the second half, for the Shock.

QUOTABLE
"I thought we started a lot better than the Penn College game [last Friday], even though conditions [hot] were different. The guys were ready to play today. They are improving and that is all we can ask for. They are starting to understand the system I have in place. It takes time. But the will and energy and the enthusiasm is definitely there." - Pedro Braz, Gallaudet men's soccer head coach
