LITTLE RIVER, S.C. - Gallaudet University was swept by Lasell College in a softball doubleheader Thursday at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex as the Lasers won 12-3 and 10-2 in five innings.

Gallaudet (8-7) led early in both games before being swept for the third time this season. The Bison held a 2-0 advantage in the second game heading into the bottom of the fourth inning where Lasell (4-3) scored six runs and ended the game the following inning as the Lasers plated four runs.

In the first game, GU jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning before Lasell responded with runs in every inning from the second to the seventh except in the fifth. The Lasers took the lead for good in the third inning when they plated three runs to take a 5-3 lead. 

Senior Caitlin Stevens (Glen Allen, Va.) and sophomore Chelsea Lee (South Brunswick, N.J.) had a triple each and one RBI in the loss. 

The Bison will complete its time in South Carolina on Friday morning with a single game against University of St. Joseph (Conn.) at 9:30 a.m.
