TITUSVILLE, Fla. – The Gallaudet University softball team closed out their Spring Break trip on Thursday. The Bison were not able muster a win in the final four games and closed out the trip winless. Webber International beat the Bison twice on Wednesday, 8-1 and 11-0. Gallaudet again lost back-to-back games against Minn.-Crookston and Delaware Valley College on Thursday, 9-0 and 8-0, respectively.

Webber International overpowered the Bison in game one. Warrior pitcher Dana Roloff allowed just two hits in seven innings of work. Gallaudet's (0-8) only run came when junior center fielder Alicia Johnson (San Jose, Calif.) homered in the fourth inning. Johnson collected Gallaudet's only two hits of the game and finished the game 2-for-4. Webber (14-11) scored two runs in four separate innings.

Gallaudet tallied two hits in game two vs. the Warriors. Sophomore shortstop Kara Gulvas (Crown Point, Ind.) and sophomore pitcher Rachel Sweigart (Big Rock, Ill.) each collected a hit and finished 1-for-2. Webber International scored early and often, as the score was 11-0 after three innings.

On Thursday, the Bison fell apart late vs. Minn.-Crookston (6-11). Gallaudet trailed 3-0 after two innings before the Golden Eagles scored six runs in the final two innings as the Bison committed six errors. Senior center fielder Easter Faafiti (Pittsburg, Calif.) collected the only hit for the Bison.

Gallaudet was one-hit again to close out the tournament. Junior third baseman Leeza Cantu (Selma, Calif.) was the only Bison to record a hit. Delaware Valley (5-1) opened the game by scoring four runs in the first and second innings.

Gallaudet will be at home for the first time on Sunday, March 18, at 1 p.m. against Catholic University of America on the new turf field.
