TOWSON, Md. – Goucher College crushed the
Gallaudet University men's swimming team here Saturday as the
Gophers defeated the Bison 135-43 as they won every single event.
Goucher swept the top three spots in an event four different times
and twice took first and second place over the Bison in an
event.
Junior Tony Dall (Indianapolis, Ind.) was one
of the few bright spots for the buff and blue. Dall placed second
in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:07.03 that was 16
seconds behind Goucher's Charles Leonard (51.90 seconds).
Dall was fourth in the 50-yard freestyle as he finished the sprint
in 29.04 seconds, six seconds behind Goucher's Colin Richter
(23.06).
Sophomore Myles Goldberg (Frederick, Md.)
improved his personal time in the 100 breaststroke by six seconds
with a time of 1:20.89.
Gallaudet will next swim on Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. in Cobleskill,
N.Y., to take on North Eastern Athletic Conference foes Wells
College and SUNY Cobleskill in the conference opener for the
Bison.
