WASHINGTON, D.C.--Wilson College took the first of two games,
8-3. Gallaudet staged a seven-run rally over two innings to tie the
game at 12-12 and force extra innings. The game was called on
account of darkness, forcing a draw.
The Buff and Blue posted double figure hits, with six batters
combining for 10 hits in the first game. Caitlin Mosholder went

Wilson took advantage of a five-run fourth inning that
turned to be the difference within the game. The visitors had
already scored three runs in the first inning.
In the fifth, Keri Schmidt reached on balls, and then
stole second base. Virginia Keeler had a RBI double, bringing
Schmidt home. Freshman Casey McCullough added another RBI as she
singled, bringing Caitlin Mosholder home before a Colleen Caverly
fly-out ended the inning. Caverly had a RBI double in the
seventh, bringing Mosholder home to cap the Bison scoring output.
Over the second game, Gallaudet posted season-highs, 12 runs and
17 hits. Jenna Owens pitched four innings with Colleen Tighe
picking up three as almost the entire lineup had at least a
hit. Tighe had four strikeouts to Owens's three.

runs. Keri Schmidt went 3-for-4, and scored 4 times.
As a team, the Bison produced 11 RBI with Casey McCullough's
five leading the way. Caitlin Mosholder and Keri Schmidt each added
three.
Wilson had a seven-run lead entering the bottom of the sixth.
The visitors saw their lead evaporate as the Buff and Blue poured
in seven runs off 10 hits by the time the seventh inning ended in a
12-12 tie. Neither team could produce any more runs in the extra
inning before the game was called.
