STEVENSON, MD--The Buff and Blue traveled to Villa Julie and
picked up their first win of the season, 77-67 over the Mustangs.
Today's victory was significant in the fact that it was the Bison's
first win of the season, a conference win, and Head Coach Jeb
Barber's first victory with the Gallaudet basketball program.
Senior forward Onye Davis led the Bison with his second
double-double, scoring 22 points and pulling down 10 boards. He
also had three assists over 37 minutes of play.
Lance Gonzalez had 16 points, with Chi Ming Pun adding 12 and
Johnny Jackson 11. Freshman Dan Fava had a career-high 9 points and
10 rebounds.
The Bison (1-7, 1-3 CAC) will travel to California for a pair of
games against the California Institute of Technology and California
Lutheran. The CIT game is on Monday, December 17 at 5:30 p.m. PST,
with the Cal-Lutheran game on Wednesday the 19th at 3:00 p.m. PST.
The California games will conclude 2007's games, as the Buff and
Blue go on winter break until hosting Juniata College at the Field
House on January 7, 2008. Tip time for that matchup is set at 7:30
p.m.
