WASHINGTON, DC--The Buff and Blue took on Hood College on the
tail end of a Thursday Night Doubleheader at the Field House, with
the visitors winning 75-47.
Within the first ten minutes, the Bison were playing with
the Blazers, ahead by one, 16-15 with a Jon Mowl trey taking the
lead.

bigger Blazers, pushing them for 11 turnovers to the Bison's 4 in
first half action. Hood College showed their size, having three
players in the starting lineup at 6'4 or taller--6'8 senior forward
Jesse Gutekunst, 6'6 Rian McHenry and 6'4 Mark McGlone.

with 8 points, in addition to teammate Lance Gonzalez's 7. The

12. Gutenkunst, who leads the Hood rebounding charge with a 17.6
per-game average had a game-high 7 boards and 3 blocks at the
half.

Buff and Blue offensive scoring output with 7 points each. The
Bison missed key shots as they went 7-for-19 (36.8%) from the field
in this half, compared to Hood's 14-for-27 (51.9%). The difference
in field goal percentages, long-range shots, (Hood 10, Gallaudet 3)
and free throws resulted in the Blazer victory. The visitors shot
73% to Gallaudet's 55% from the charity stripe.
