Doleac has been working on Gallaudet's campus for over 40 years. Doleac is currently an Assistant Professor, Physical Education and Recreation at Gallaudet University. She is also a Coordinator for Athletic Coaching minor and Director of Personal Discovery Program and Rock-Climbing Gym.
Doleac served as Gallaudet's softball coach from 1984 until 2009. She was the Bison field hockey coach during the 1989 season. Doleac was inducted into the Gallaudet Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014.
Sarah Burton Doleac earned her bachelor's degree in in physical education from Gallaudet University in 1982. She earned her master's degree in in Deaf Education from McDaniel College in 1985.
Doleac was a student-athlete while at Gallaudet as she lettered in field hockey and softball during all four years. She also lettered in women's basketball and tennis for one season.

I want to give back to the Gallaudet University softball team, the student-athletes, the Athletic Department and the community. It is always my love and passion for softball games ever since I was young."
