ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The first day of the four-day long 2026 Atlantic East Conference swimming championships began Thursday night at The Aquatics Center at the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center on the campus of St. Mary's College of Maryland.
The championship began with the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay, both of which the Gallaudet University women's swim team participated in on night one.

Ashley Corcoran (Broussard, La.) swam the 200-yard medley relay in three minutes and 12.18 seconds, to finish in sixth place. GU's 800-meter freestyle relay team placed sixth with a time of 14:02.12. The 800-meter freestyle relay team consisted of first year

After the two events, GU accumulated 52 points to hold sixth place out of six teams.

Marywood University stands in first place with 130 points, followed by St. Mary's College of Maryland in second with 80 points and Marymount (Va.) University in third with 68 points. Immaculata University (60), Cedar Crest College (56) and Gallaudet (52) are in fourth, fifth, and sixth place, respectively.
Gallaudet's men's swim team did not field a relay team on Opening Night.

Gallaudet returns to The Aquatics Center at the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 13) for Day 2 of the 2026 Atlantic East Conference championships. Preliminaries will start at 10 a.m. and the finals will be held at 5:30 p.m.
