WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University men's swimming team hosted Marywood University on Saturday in their last home meet of the 2025-26 season at the Field House Pool. The Bison lost 117-33 as the Pacers swept all 11 events as GU participated in seven events.
The men's swim team now stands at 0-8 overall and 0-4 in Atlantic East conference competition.
Sophomore
Allen Davis (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) started the Bison off strong in the 200-yard freestyle and recorded a second-place finish with a time of 3:10.10.Â
Junior
Trent Mora (Austin, Texas) beat out a Marywood swimmer for second place in the 50-yard freestyle (28.82). Sophomore
Alex Wilding (Santa Fe, N.M.) joined his teammates on the podium with a silver finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:25.22) and in the 200-yard IM (2:51.34) as he touched the wall second.Â

In a memorable conclusion to the meet, the Bison received an assist from the men's volleyball program as nine players swam in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The Gallaudet team of Davis, first year

Troy Holcomb recorded a second-place finish (2:12.20) as the top Bison relay. GU had two additional relay teams, comprised of men's volleyball players, swim as an exhibition.Â
Marywood (4-4, 2-2 Atlantic East) was lead by Alex McCarey who won three events; 100-yard backstroke (1:05.21), 100-yard butterfly (1:04.66) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (12:51.24).Â

- Antonio placed third in the 100-yard backstroke (2:06.61) and fourth in the 50-yard freestyle (36.46)
- Mora recorded fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:40.38)
- Wilding and Mora competed in the 100-yard freestyle and placed third (1:12.19) and fourth (1:13.08), respectively

The Bison will travel to Westminster, Md., to face McDaniel College and Goucher College in a non-conference tri-meet next Saturday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m.
