WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Gallaudet University men's swimming team dropped a 149-31 meet to King's (Pa.) College on Friday night in the Scandlon Natatorium.
Gallaudet (0-7) had eight swimmers participate as five Bison swam in multiple events.
Sophomore
Alex Wilding (Santa Fe, N.M.) led the way for the buff and blue with three third-place finishes. Wilding was third in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:27.97, 200-yard IM (2:53.70) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (15:22.63).
Sophomore
Driss Oukake (Amsterdam, Netherlands) finished third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:58.07 and took fourth in the 100-yard backstroke (1:31.90). Sophomore
Allen Davis (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) was third in the 500-yard freestyle (9:24.15) and fourth in the 1,000-yard freestyle (19:36.96).
First year
Jordan Antonio (Rochester, N.Y.) made their season debut and finished third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:59.25) and was fifth in the fast 50-yard freestyle (35.24). First-year freestyle specialist
Elijah Gaston (Chicago, Ill.) placed fourth in three events; 50-yard freestyle (30.29), 100-yard freestyle (1:20.37) and 500-yard freestyle (9:41.30).
In the 11th and final men's event of the night Oukake was joined by a trio of Bison, who only swam in the 200-yard freestyle relay. First year
Connor Levy (Odessa, Mo.), junior
Trent Mora (Austin, Texas) and first year
Jay Yang (Darien, Ill.) helped GU finish third with a time of 2:23.15.
King's (6-6) was led by Connor Scheckner who won three individual events including the 100-yard freestyle (55.64), 200-yard freestyle (1:50.18) and 500-yard freestyle (5:08.63). The Monarchs also received multiple first-place finishes from Chase Kubis in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.06) and 200-yard IM (2:19.84) and Christopher Maciejczyk in the 100-yard backstroke (1:07.20) and 1,000-yard freestyle (13:02.55). Kubis was a member of King's two first-place relay teams.

This was the last swim meet for the fall semester for Gallaudet. The Bison are off until the new year and will dive back into the pool on Saturday, Jan. 17, at home for an 11 a.m. conference meet against Marywood University.
