ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Gallaudet University men's swimming team opened Atlantic East Conference competition Saturday against Immaculata University in a meet hosted by Cedar Crest College. The final team scores are still pending.
Immaculata (2-3) won 12 of the 14 events over Gallaudet (0-3).
The meet began with the 200-yard medley relay, where Gallaudet's team of first year
Elijah Gaston (Chicago, Ill.), sophomore
Alex Wilding (Santa Fe, N.M.), sophomore
Driss Oukake (Amsterdam, Netherlands) and
Trent Mora (Austin, Texas) represented the Bison as their only relay entry and finished first with a time of 2:31.94.
Mora won first overall in the 100-yard backstroke as he posted a time of 1:17.81. Mora also participated in the 50-yard freestyle and placed second with a time of 29.04 seconds.
Wilding placed second twice, finishing the 100-yard breaststroke with a personal best time of 1:24.54 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 3:14.69. He also took third place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:27.71.

Gallaudet will next travel to Marymount (Va.) University next Saturday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. for a conference double-dual against the Saints and St. Mary's College of Maryland.
