LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Gallaudet University women's swimming program began the 2025-26 season here Saturday at Randolph College in a quad meet.
Gallaudet competed in nine of the 11 events and narrowly lost 72-69 to William Peace University. The Bison came up short against Hollins University, 110-53, and lost to the host WildCats, 142-34.
First year
Adelle Patton (Puyallup, Wash.) placed second in the 400-yard IM with a time of six minutes and 40.93 seconds. Patton finished sixth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:21.81.
First year
Hope MacPeek (Russellville, Ark.) was fourth in the 500 freestyle (7:13.52), fifth in the 1,650 freestyle (24:35.08) and sixth in the 200 freestyle (2:48.18).
Sophomore
Alecia Miller (Litchfield, Ill.) placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke (2:19.84) and sixth in the 1,650 freestyle (31:28.07).
First year
Jasmine Jimenez Lara (Gilroy, Calif.), another member of the Bison women's triathlon team, finished fifth in the 500 freestyle (9:39.31) and seventh in the 200 freestyle (3:32.50).
The quartet of Patton, first year
Alma Robinson (Austin, Texas), Jimenez Lara and Miller finished fourth in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 2:41.00.

- First year Mary Figueroa (Moreno Valley, Calif.) was seventh in the 100 freestyle (1:41.93) and 11th in the 50 freestyle (44.62)
- Robinson finished eighth in the 100 backstroke (1:44.74) and 10th in the 50 freestyle (39.00)
- First year Lia Rojas was eighth in the 100 freestyle (2:05.07) and 13th in the 50 freestyle (50.75)
- First year Youstina Alesha (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) placed ninth in the 100 backstroke (2:10.75) and 12th in the 50 freestyle (46.56)

Gallaudet swimming will have three weeks off before they dive back into competition next month. The Bison will host Virginia Wesleyan University on Saturday, Nov. 1, in the Field House Pool for a 1 p.m. non-conference meet.
