Bison STUNT program listed in CollegeStunt.org Division III preseason story

DALLAS - USA Cheer is thrilled to announce the start of the 2025 STUNT season, a groundbreaking year for one of the fastest-growing emerging sports in the nation. This Spring, nearly 70 colleges will compete in more than 500 games, showcasing their skill, teamwork, and athleticism on college campuses across the country.

Division III is set to welcome four new programs this year: Centenary (La.) College, Gallaudet University, Randolph College, and St. Mary's College, all eager to play their inaugural games and score their first points. Coaches believe that second-year program George Fox University is a team to watch this season, while Heidelberg University, with an expanded roster, looks forward to showcasing more routines on the mat. Saint Elizabeth University, now in its second year, feels significantly improved despite having a limited roster. Buena Vista University is thrilled that its schedule features more teams within their division this year. For many teams, including Concordia University Chicago, Misericordia University, and Buena Vista, the challenge lies in educating new student athletes on the game of STUNT, as they have few players with prior experience. Hiram College, entering its seventh year of STUNT, is now under new leadership with Coach Araujo at the helm, supported by seasoned veterans and a long-time assistant coach who has a deep understanding of the game. Hiram enters as the preseason No. 1 STUNT team in Division III. Muskingum University will have the opportunity to face George Fox this season as they travel to Oregon for their games. University of Olivet, despite struggling with a limited roster, remains excited about the upcoming 2025 season.

The season will culminate in an electrifying National Championship event in April, where teams from five divisions will vie for top honors. Competitors include NCAA Division I, II, and III programs, NAIA schools, and Club teams, which include Junior College programs, further expanding the accessibility and inclusivity of the sport.

STUNT continues to gain momentum as an NCAA Emerging Sport for Women, offering athletes new opportunities to compete at the collegiate level. Fans are encouraged to check out their local STUNT teams and experience the intensity, precision, and excitement of this innovative sport.

"This season represents a significant milestone for STUNT as we expand our reach and impact in collegiate athletics," said Lauri Harris, Executive Director of USA Cheer. "With over 500 games scheduled, the STUNT community is stronger than ever, and we're proud to continue building opportunities for female athletes to complete at the collegiate level."
