TOWSON, Md. - The Gallaudet University women's swimming team completed their 2022-23 regular-season schedule here Saturday at Goucher College as the Bison lost 131-46 to the Gophers.
Gallaudet (1-11) swam in nine of the 11 events and finished second in three.Â
Sophomore Amelia Oliver (Elkridge, Md.) placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:04.15 and took third in the 50-yard freestyle (29.09).Â
Freshman Molly Headrick (Vista, Calif.) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle as Headrick touched the wall in 2:32.81. Headrick finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:29.58).
Sophomore Samantha Moore (Tucson, Ariz.) picked up second-place points in the 200-yard IM with a time of 3:21.56 followed by freshman Sonya Szywala (Phoenix, Ariz.) in third (4:31.93).
Junior Dakota Ronco (La Mesa, Calif.) finished third in the 100-yard butterfly (1:27.62) and posted a time of 15:22.82 in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
GU's two relay teams finished third overall. The 200-yard medley relay (2:28.24) team featured Moore, freshman Katie Seffens (Castro Valley, Calif.), Oliver and Hendrick. The 200-yard freestyle relay (2:18.82) had Ronco, sophomore Ksenia Markel (University Park, Md.), Seffens and Szywala.
