WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University women's swimming team lost 157-49 to McDaniel College here Saturday afternoon in the Field House pool.
McDaniel (2-6) won all 14 events as the Bison (0-5) had a handful of podium finishes.
Freshman Amelia Oliver (Elkridge, Md.) had a good showing on the day with two second-place finishes and one third-place. Oliver finished second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:06.36 and in the 200-yard IM (2:59.78). Oliver finished third in the 50-yard freestyle in a close race with a tine of 29.62 seconds just behind the first-place time of 26.75 seconds.
Freshman Samantha Moore (Tucson, Ariz.) placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:38.58, over seven seconds behind the first-place time (1:31.04).
Sophomore Dakota Ronco (La Mesa, Calif.) finished second in the 200-yard backstroke (3:23.13) and was third in the 200-yard IM (3:19.68) and 200-yard freestyle (2:45.77).
Junior Jaelynn King (Springfield, Pa.) finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (17:08.71) and third in the 500-yard freestyle (8:27.07).
BISON TRACKS
- Sophomore Skyler Officer (Skokie, Ill.) placed third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:47.98)
- Moore was fourth in the 50-yard freestyle (35.20)
- Gallaudet's relay teams placed third in both the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle
- Hollins University opted to not participate in today's meet

This concludes Gallaudet's schedule for December. The Bison are off until January 2022 when they will next swim against Hood College in Frederick, Md., on Jan. 8 at 2 p.m.
