WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University women's swimming and diving team dropped its final regular-season meet to Stevenson University, 139-55, here Saturday at the Field House pool on Senior Day.
Senior Brianna Stroud-Williams (Tucker, Ga.) took second place in the 1,000-yard freestyle (13:52.72) and 100 backstroke (1:17.96). Senior Paige Foreman (Albuqurque, N.M.) finished third in the 100 butterfly (1:37.81) and 200 IM (3:07.46). Both student-athletes are four-year veterans to the women's swim team and Stroud-Williams is a second-year captain.
Senior Shuxu Tian (Tongling, China), in her second season with the program, finished fifth in the 200 freestyle (3:08.97) and 200 IM (4:00.93).
Freshman Jana Kiefer (Leander, Texas) finished second in the 100 butterfly (1:18.58), while freshman Alyssa Hanbury (Orlando, Fla.) finished third in the 100 backstroke (1:23.62). Faye Frez-Albrecht (Canton, Conn.) set five personal records on the day, three coming in the 1,000 freestyle.

- Katie Bigelow (Flushing, Mich.) took third place in the 1,000 freestyle (14:13.56) and 100 freestyle (1:07.15).

Gallaudet will begin tapering over the next two weeks to prepare for the North Eastern Athletic Conference championships being held in Cazenovia, N.Y., on Feb. 12-14.
