KILLINGWORTH, Conn. – The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) released its 2024 preseason football poll and the Gallaudet University football team was picked to finish second overall out of four teams, as voted by the conference head coaches.
Anna Maria College received the most first-place votes (three) to tally 14 points and take the top spot. GU checked in at No. 2 with 10 points followed by Alfred State College at No. 3 (nine points) and Dean College at No. 4 (seven) and one first-place vote.
Last season, there was a three-way tie at the top of the regular-season standings between Gallaudet, Alfred St. and Anna Maria as all three teams finished with 3-1 conference records. Alfred St. won the tiebreakers to earn the automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA tournament.
Gallaudet begins the 2024 season at Albright College on Friday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m..

About the ECFC
The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference was formed in the spring of 2009 as an NCAA Division III single-sport football conference. The conference, named after the geographic location of the institutions began competition in the fall of 2009. The 2024 season is the final season for the ECFC.
