FREDERICK, Md. – The Gallaudet University women's basketball team dropped its third straight non-conference game on Thursday as the Bison fell on the road against Hood College, 83-69.  

The Bison (0-3) and the Blazers (1-2) went back and forth throughout the first half as there were six lead changes in the first 15 minutes. After the Blazers went on a 6-0 run to conclude the first half, 47-36, the Bison were unable to recover. Hood carried the momentum into the second half as the Blazers began with a 10-2 run, extending the lead to 57-38.

Gallaudet was led offensively by senior Lindsay Stergio (Montville, Conn.) who notched her third straight double-double of the year after scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 boards. Fellow senior Britny Latham (Cleveland, Tenn.) was the second leading scorer for the Bison as she scored 14 points including 3-for-4 from behind the arc. Freshman forward Isabella Hasty (Fort Worth, Texas) continued her strong play coming off the bench as she recorded 10 points and five rebounds in 21 minutes.

Hood was led by Allie Appleby who scored 18 points coming off the bench, including four three-pointers.  

The Bison kick off their North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) schedule this weekend as they host St. Elizabeth (2-1, 0-0 NEAC) in Gallaudet's home opener on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m.
